Dr. Joy Adegbile

Dr. Joy Adegbile is the medical director, overseeing all the medical care in the Health Centers at Spring Harbor. She is only one of two geriatricians in the area. Born in North Carolina, she moved to England and lived there for the first 18 years of her life. She attended college at the University of England and graduated from medical school in Nigeria.

Her residency began with our own Columbus Regional Medical Center, which was followed by a move to Birmingham to attend UAB for additional education. There, she graduated from a two year geriatric fellowship and earned a masters degree in public health.

As a member of the faculty at UAB for six years in the geriatric department, she became well known for her expertise in senior healthcare. In 2000, she returned to Columbus to be a member of the faculty at Columbus Regional Medical Center. In 2006, she started her own private geriatric practice.
