Life Care is the foundation of why residents move to Spring Harbor. It is essential for anyone considering Spring Harbor in their future to have a firm understanding of the features and benefits of the Life Care program.

is a program that is essentially an insurance product. When a resident is qualified for Life Care, they pay a one time entrance fee. These entrance fees can be up to 90% refundable and provide some tax savings. See the "Fees" section for more information. Once the entrance fee is paid, the resident pays the standard monthly fee for the floor plan they have selected. This covers the basic service package offered at Spring Harbor, which includes a very important item: unlimited long term care for life!

By entering into a Life Care and Residency agreement with Spring Harbor, you are entitled to the services of our assisted living, memory support and skilled nursing services on an unlimited basis! The cost of the nursing care is included in the services provided by your monthly fee. Extra costs would include additional meals, prescriptions, supplies and other services not included in the monthly fee.

Life Care takes the worry out of future expenses, future "what if..." scenarios, and provides a plan that addresses where the care will come from, how it will be paid, and who will coordinate the care. That is why Life Care is a gift to not only the resident, but their entire family.

To qualify for Life Care, there are two items to consider:

1) You must be in relatively good health, capable of living independently and not a high risk for long term care. See a sales associate for more information.

2) You must move in to Spring Harbor and live independently for 90 days before you are fully eligible for Life Care. As a resident, once you have passed the 90 day trial period, you are permanently eligible for Life Care benefits.
